Roceet Review

A Frame.io and Filestage alternative for client review

Roceet Review gives clients a page to comment on files and approve them, with an activity log and password-protected reviews. It sits next to Roceet Share, so you can send the large files too. Roceet is independent and not affiliated with Frame.io or Filestage.

Client feedback in one place

Clients write comments on a file and can add a freehand markup on the item to show what they mean. Feedback comes back in one place instead of across email threads.

Approvals with a record

Clients approve from the review page. Comments and approvals are written to an activity log, so if someone asks what was said or who signed off, the answer is in the log.

Where Frame.io is the stronger fit

Frame.io's pricing page lists frame-accurate and range-based comments, annotations, version stacks and a comparison viewer. Roceet Review comments are text with optional freehand markup. If your review depends on notes tied to exact frames or on working across versions, check Frame.io's own plans. The source and date are under the table.

Send the files and review them in one suite

Roceet Share sends large files by link, with a password, a download limit and automatic expiry. Roceet Review is the second product for teams that need client feedback and approval on the same files. Reviews can be password protected too.

Filestage. Checked on 2026-10-16 on Filestage's pricing page: the Free plan lists 1 active project and 5 new files per month, and Starter is listed at $199 / month, with yearly and monthly billing options, and includes password-protected review links. Filestage says reviewers do not need an account to give feedback, and lists approval, annotation tools and a compare-versions feature. Roceet Review does not offer compare versions.

Plan names are each company's own. Frame.io's Pro plan is listed at $15 per member per month plus tax. The table leaves Roceet Review price out; Roceet plans are on our pricing page.

Frequently asked questions

Support
Is Roceet Review a Frame.io alternative?
For client comments and sign-off, yes. Clients comment on a file, can add a freehand markup, and approve it, and you keep an activity log. Frame.io offers more for video-specific review: on 2026-10-16 its pricing page listed frame-accurate and range-based comments and version stacks, which Roceet Review does not offer. Roceet is independent and not affiliated with Frame.io or Adobe.
Is Roceet Review a Filestage alternative?
For collecting comments and approvals from clients, yes. Filestage is a dedicated online proofing tool, and on 2026-10-16 its pricing page listed team workflow features beyond what Roceet Review covers. Roceet is independent and not affiliated with Filestage.
How do clients leave feedback?
Clients write a comment on the file. They can also add a freehand markup on the item to show exactly what they mean.
How does a client approve a file?
Clients approve from the review page. The approval is recorded alongside the comments so you can see where a file stands.
Can I password protect a review?
Yes. Reviews can be password protected, so only the people you give the password to can open them.
Can I send the large files with Roceet too?
Yes. Roceet Share sends large files by link with a password, a download limit and automatic expiry, and recipients need no account to download. Roceet Review is the next step when those files need sign-off.
