A shared photo album for the people you invite

Create a shared photo album, invite family or friends by email, and let everyone add their own photos, videos and notes. Originals stay at full quality and don't expire.

Free to start · Works in any browser · Members only by default

Create a shared photo album in three steps

You set it up once. After that, everyone you invite adds to the same album from their own phone or computer.

  1. 1

    Create an album

Give it a title and, if you like, a short description. You are the owner.

  2. 2

    Invite people by email

Add up to 20 email addresses at a time. Each person signs in with a one-time code sent to that address.

  3. 3

    Everyone adds and reacts

Members add their own photos, videos and notes, react to them and leave comments.

What an album holds

Photos and videos at full quality, plus the notes and conversation around them.

Original photos and videos

Files upload as they are, at full quality. Anyone who can view the album can download the original.

Notes and names

Add a text note next to the pictures, and give any photo or video a name. Whoever added it, or the owner, can change it.

Reactions and comments

Members react with ❤️ 😂 😮 🔥 👏 😢 and comment on each item. Anyone who can view the album sees the comments.

Albums take photos and videos; notes are text. Email notifications go out for invitations, new photos (grouped, not one email per picture) and comments. Each kind can be switched off in settings.

Who can see it

Only the album owner invites or removes people and changes who can view. Pick one of two settings.

Only members

Only the people you invited can open the album. Anyone else who gets hold of the link sees nothing. This is the default for a new album.

Anyone with the link

Anyone with the link can look and download the originals, without signing in. Adding photos, reacting and commenting still need an invitation.

Made for the people you already know

A shared album works best for a group whose email addresses you have.

Family

One place for grandparents, parents and cousins to add the pictures from their own phones, from any device.

Trips

Everyone on the trip adds what they shot, videos included, without squeezing them through a chat app.

Weddings and celebrations

Invite the wedding party and the guests whose emails you have, and keep every original in one album.

Wedding photo sharing

Teams and projects

Collect site photos, event shots or behind-the-scenes footage from the people who took them.

Storage and plans, in plain words

  • Album photos and videos don't expire. Transfer links run out; album media stays until someone deletes it.
  • What you add counts toward your storage. 2 GB on Free, 1 TB per seat on Ultimate ($16.99 per user per month). Each member's uploads count toward their own storage, not the owner's.
  • Deleting is final. When the owner deletes an album, its files are deleted right away.
  • Compare plans

Frequently asked questions

Support
How do I create a shared photo album?
Sign in to Roceet, open Albums and create one with a title and, if you like, a description. Then invite people by email, up to 20 at a time. Everyone you invite can add their own photos, videos and notes.
Do the people I invite need an account?
They need to sign in, but they don’t have to set up a password. The invitation goes to their email, and they sign in with a one-time code we send there. If they already have a Roceet account, they can use it.
Are photos and videos kept at full quality?
Yes. Files upload as they are, without being resized or recompressed, and anyone who can view the album can download the original.
Does a shared album expire?
No. Unlike a transfer link, album photos and videos stay until someone deletes them. If the owner deletes the album, its files are deleted right away.
Who can see my album?
The owner chooses. “Only members” means only the people you invited can open it. “Anyone with the link” lets anyone with the link view and download, but only members can add to it.
How much storage do I get?
What you add counts toward your own storage: 2 GB on Free and 1 TB per seat on Ultimate. Each member’s uploads count toward their own storage, not the owner’s.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. Albums open in the browser on iPhone, Android and computers, so the people you invite don’t need to install anything.
Can I use a QR code or let guests upload without signing in?
No. People are invited by email and sign in with a one-time code before they can add photos. That keeps the album to the people you chose.
