Roceet Share

A Smash file transfer alternative for large files

Roceet is an independent file transfer service, not affiliated with Smash. Drop in a video, a photo set or a folder of audio and send it by link: up to 2 GB on Free and 200 GB on Ultimate, with no account needed to download.

An independent alternative

Roceet is its own service and is not affiliated with Smash or fromsmash.com. Smash is the product of another company; this page compares the two using the plan details Smash publishes on its own pricing page.

Send by link, recipients just download

Drop your files on the homepage, enter an email, confirm an 8-digit code, and you get a share link. Your link opens a download page that lists the files. Nobody you send to has to sign up.

Where Smash is the stronger fit

Smash's pricing page lists Smash Free as needing no sign-up to send, unlimited transfer size on Smash Pro, and customizable expiration dates on its plans. Roceet Free sends up to 2 GB per transfer and Ultimate up to 200 GB, and Roceet lets you pick an expiry date up to 2 days or 30 days out. If you need those Smash features, check Smash's own plans. The source and date are under the table.

Then get the files approved

Roceet Share sends the files with a password, a download limit and an expiry date you choose. When the work needs sign-off, Roceet Review lets clients comment on and approve it, with an activity log of what happened.

No. Roceet is an independent service and is not affiliated with Smash or fromsmash.com. This page compares the two using the plan details Smash publishes on its own pricing page, linked in the table.
How much can I send for free?
Roceet Free sends up to 2 GB per transfer. On 2026-10-16, Smash's pricing page listed 2 GB per transfer for Smash Free as well, with a note that transfers beyond 2 GB are not prioritized. Roceet Free does not send transfers above 2 GB.
How long do transfers stay online?
A Roceet transfer can stay online for up to 2 days on Free and 30 days on Ultimate, and you choose the expiry date within that. You can extend it any time or delete the transfer sooner. Smash's pricing page listed availability of up to 7 days on Smash Free and up to 30 days on Smash Pro, and lists customizable expiration dates.
Does the person I send to need an account?
No. Recipients open your link, see the files on a download page, and download them. Only the sender has an account, and it is created when you send.
Can I protect a transfer?
Yes. You can add a password and a download limit to a transfer, and you can delete it yourself at any time. Smash also lists password-protected transfers on its plans.
Can clients comment on and approve the files I send?
Yes, with Roceet Review. Clients get a review page where they comment on a file and approve it, and you keep an activity log of what happened. Reviews can be password protected too.
